Volunteer Opportunities
These are the seven key areas of support that TEAM TBW needs help in . . .
I. Administrative Support Services
Provide administrative and clerical support for TBW Corporation.
Includes general responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Coordinate venue selection for meetings and events
· Strategic Planning and Implementation - Assist with identifying resources and/or manpower needed to perform volunteer functions for TBW
· Assist TBW with organizational needs and planning efforts for various initiatives/projects (i.e. conferences, classes, retreats)
· Provide clerical support
· Screen and place qualified volunteers in appropriate areas to effectively volunteer within TBW VP.
II. Community Outreach & Development Services
Attract and retain the support of corporate and community sponsors and volunteers for TBW. Develop and coordinate external activities that promote TBW, recruit volunteers and generate financial partnership/support both locally and nationally.
Includes general responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Partnership Opportunities
· Build/develop relationships that support and further the vision/mission of TBW
· Attract and partner with small and large businesses
· Attract and partner with Corporate & Community sponsors/volunteers
· Identify/recruit suitable talent and volunteers for TBW
· Manage Volunteer Advisory Committee
III. Fiscal Support Services
Provide administrative support, oversight, organization and distribution/navigation of funds for TBW.
Includes general responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Assist with fundraising
· Provide financial support/accountability/contributions
· Assist with identifying, organizing and managing fiscal plans/resources needed
· Manage Charitable contributions
· Develop script to solicit charitable contributions for TBW
· Coordinate TBW Chamber of Commerce
IV. Media Relations & Communication Services
Coordinate, organize and provide administrative support for all TBW internal publications, media and communication initiatives.
Includes general responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Assist with in-house production of TBW
· Journalism/segment writing
· Assist with production of TB Radio Show
· Schedule interviews/research sources
V. Public Relations & Marketing Services
Promote and market all external activities, programs, publications and outreach services on a local and national level.
Includes general responsibilities including but not limited to:
· Assist with promotional events for TBW
· Special Event planning and organization
· Hospitality
VI. Training & Development Services
Develop and implement training processes, procedures workshops and programs for TBW. Ensure that TBW provides personal and professional development opportunities and appropriate training for all volunteer staff both locally and nationally.
Includes general responsibilities including but not limited to:
· SisterConnect™ Nationwide Empowerment Groups
· Internship opportunities
· Career/Professional development opportunities
· Volunteer staff training; perform orientations, etc.
· Create TBW training manual/handbook
VII. TBW CORE PROGRAMMING
Focus Area 2008: Health & Wellness Services
Organize and coordinate all TBW CORE PROGRAMMING, with a FOCUS/EMPHASIS in 2008 on health and wellness related programs, activities and workshops for TBW.
· Develop strategic plans for TBW Health & Wellness education
· Update TBW Website with health and wellness education/information
· Coordinate health and wellness retreats/programs (boot camps, seminars, workshops)
· Address a wide range of health concerns as identified by/relevant to female minorities
· Plan initiatives that promote the spiritual, emotional of physical health of women
· Secure the sponsorship of health & wellness vendors
